School Lunches

Pupils may either bring a packed lunch or they may choose a school dinner provided by our contracted caterers ISS in our dining hall. Your child also has the option of choosing to have a mixture of school dinners and/or  packed lunches in the week.

A healthy tuck shop run by children operates at certain times of the year selling fruit, popcorn and other healthy goods. Children are informed when this is running and may bring small change to use at the tuck shop.

SCHOOL MEALS

Our School meals are prepared by ISS Facility Services-Education. ISS have a proud history of working with pupils and local authorities around the country and are passionate about the food they provide and how it is sourced, prepared and delivered.

Children from Reception to Year 2 are entitled to Universal Free School Meals. You can complete a Menu planner on a weekly basis or your child can make their dinner choice on the day. This menu planner will need to be handed to your child's class teacher.

Each menu choice is associated with a colour code (Red, Blue & Green) of which your child will be given a wrist band based on the colour choice they have made. Please see the Menu for the various options/colours.

PAYING FOR SCHOOL MEALS

The cost of a school meal is £2 per day and £10 a week. Dinner money must be made regularly to ensure that your child's account is in credit with funds available for a school meal each day.

Any accounts in arrears of over £10 will not be able to fund a school dinner. This means your child will not be able to have a school dinner and a packed lunch will need to be provided until the account is in credit.

Payments can be made by cash/cheque inserted in the ISS envelope from the school office and then deposited in the box outside the office clearly marked for school dinners.

PACKED LUNCH

A packed lunch must be (in a named, sealed box or bag but no glass bottles, fizzy drinks or cans please).

Children must not bring nut or any nut based products into school as we have children with serious nut allergies and protocols are in place to protect them.
