Computing ICT
The teaching of computing has a greater focus on developing programming skills. These skills are taught during their sessions in the ICT suite as well as in class. The children in KS1 and KS2 also have regular access to netbooks to use in class to enrich their curriculum and develop their researching skills.
We use the International Primary Curriculum to teach history, geography, art, design and technology. This means that children will learn through topics that link subjects together. It encourages children to engage with their own learning so the topics relate to their current needs and is relevant to their future. It supports the development of their knowledge, skills and understanding in each subject.
