End of Key Stage Results 2017
National Curriculum – End of Key Stage Results.
The school performs at the highest level academically. Our analysis of the data shows that not only do children do very well at the end of the different phases of the school, but also make good progress regardless of their starting points.
Key Stage One
Last year 92% of children achieved Level 2b in Mathematics and Reading and 82% achieved a Level 2b in Writing. In Literacy, 35% achieved a Level 3b in Reading and 27% in Writing. 45% of children achieved Level 3b in Mathematics. In all areas we scored above the Local Authority and National scores.
Key Stage Two
In English a new assessment was introduced with Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling (GPS) being externally tested. Writing and the overall English level is now teacher assessed and hence is not solely reliant on a test result. 95% of our children achieved a Level 4 in English with the percentage of children achieving Level 5 rising from 60% to 67%. In addition, 1 child scored Level 6 in Reading and 11 children achieved Level 6 in Writing.
In Mathematics 92% of the children achieved Level 4b (up 5%) with 62% of the children achieving Level 5 (up 9%). In addition, 23% of the children gained Level 6, which was a superb result and up 13% on the previous year.
